Duck Brand Rope Caulk is removable putty in a roll. It can be applied and painted around the edges of windows to reduce uncontrolled air infiltration. It’s also useful help reduce moisture condensation and seal against dust, dirt and insects. All you have to do to install it is press it into place with your fingers. Rope caulk is an especially good option for apartment living since you can take it off when you move. One roll consists of 35 linear feet of caulking cord, which is generally suitable for sealing two average sized windows. It comes in gray but you can paint it to match your existing color scheme. At .125 inch wide it’s just the right size to fit into most lines between windows and walls. If you get a thicker crack simply double up the caulk within the crack.
